Online tutoring
As you progress through your program, you may come across confusing or difficult course content. ASU Online Tutoring is live, free and available to anyone with an internet connection. Students have 3 main options for tutoring:
Online tutoring - Interact real-time with a peer tutor who has successfully completed classes in which you are enrolled. You can communicate by voice or text with your tutor and they will use an interactive whiteboard to diagram concepts and provide supplemental materials.
Writing Center - Schedule an appointment with an undergrad or graduate writing tutor to review, proofread and provide suggestions to improve your written work. They won’t rewrite the paper for you, instead, they’ll bring to your attention ways to improve your writing style, content and format.
Smarthinking - Drop in to chat with a live tutor around a variety of subjects including writing, math, accounting and biology. Submit questions and get feedback on writing assignments.
Library services
As an online student, you can utilize the ASU library services just as you would if you were walking through the Hayden Library doors, including:

Library One Search allows you to search for journals, articles, books, magazines, and newspapers, making reference gathering a breeze.
Library Guides are research guides created by ASU librarians. These provide quick access to the best resources in certain fields or subjects.
Subject Librarians can help with specific information and resources in a specialty area. Search for your area of interest and reach out to the librarian directly.
Chat directly with a librarian to answer questions or point you in the right direction.
Understanding your resources, how and when to use them, will make your student experience smoother and easier, so make sure you familiarize yourself with what is available as an ASU student!
