Employee eligibility criteria

• Active United States community specialist full-time employee.
• 6+ months employee tenure.
• Performance in good standing (when applying).
• Not on Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) or Final Written Warning (FWW).

The employee must meet all eligibility criteria as of the first day of the course. If eligibility is lost during the course, Uber will still pay the tuition for that course only. The employee will not be able to apply for additional courses until they regain eligibility status. Schedule accommodations will not be made for employees participating in the program. All schoolwork or activities related to this program are to be completed on the employee's personal time.

Program eligibility criteria

• The employee must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application and a financial aid file as part of ASU Online's enrollment process. Failure to complete prior to enrolling in classes can result in ineligibility for the program. Any late fees incurred as a result of late FAFSA submission or incomplete financial aid files are the responsibility of the student.
• The employee must be accepted and enrolled in an Uber-approved degree program with ASU Online (listed above under Our programs).
• The employee is seeking a first-time undergraduate degree program.
• The employee must maintain satisfactory academic performance (SAP) expectations per ASU Online guidelines.
• The employee must meet eligibility criteria when the course begins for payment of that course.

If you are eligible for the Uber + ASU Online Education Program, Uber provides 100% tuition coverage upon successful completion of the program requirements.

Here is how the partnership works:
If you choose to pursue an undergraduate degree online through ASU, it is a requirement of the Uber + ASU Online Education Program to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year you are enrolled at ASU.

Completing a FAFSA, and having a complete financial aid file on record with ASU, is a required step in the process because it can qualify you for federal and institutional grants, as well as the Uber + ASU Online Education Program, which helps to cover your tuition and fees. All financial aid is provided with the assumption that you enroll and successfully complete your courses.

If you are eligible for the Uber + ASU Online Education Program, Uber will cover 100% of the cost of your tuition after gift aid and scholarships are determined by the FAFSA application. You will remain eligible for tuition coverage as long as you maintain eligibility. For questions about how to achieve and maintain eligibility, visit the program TeamDot page.

You may also find by completing the FAFSA that you qualify for student loans, which you can use to pay for additional fees not covered such as books, the Sun Card, technology, a new computer or other supplies. Should you choose to accept a student loan, it's important to understand the rules around borrowing. You will be required to pay for additional costs such as textbooks and annual taxes on the value of your tuition coverage. Taxes and textbook costs will vary based on the courses you enroll in.
